Reproduction(2025-2026)

Vocabulary:  Reproduction, asexual, sexual

Cells are the smallest "living" thing.

That means it has all 7 characteristics of living things.

Recall one of those characteristics is "Reproduction" - living things can reproduce.

This class will look into how single cells reproduce.



Most single-celled organisms reproduce asexually.  This is what one type of asexual reproduction looks like:

Cells (2025-2026)

Vocabulary:  cell, cell wall, cell membrane, cytoplasm, nucleus, mitochondrion/a, chloroplast, central vacuole

The cell is the smallest part of a living thing that has the characteristics of all other living things.

You must be able to recognize a plant cell compared to an animal cell; be able to identify parts of each type of cell( plant & animal ); and know what each part does.




This is a good video but talks about parts of the cell we don't need to learn at Grade 7.  Just pay attention to the parts we learned about and are shown in the notes above.
